Welcome to Bravo2-7.Org, a reunion site for Vietnam veterans.
Bravo2-7, or really Bravo 2/7, refers specifically to B Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry, 1st Air Cavalry Division which was organized in 1965 as an air-supported infantry unit deployed in Vietnam until 1971.
This site is about those individuals who served at that time. It is a way for us to connect with old friends, remember a pivotal time in our lives, and to put our experiences in perspective.
We came from widely different backgrounds. It was a time before the all-volunteer Army. Some of us volunteered and went enthusiastically when asked. Others were drafted and went reluctantly.
Even though we knew each other for a few months and usually no more than a year, our time together was an incredibly powerful bonding experience that lasts until this day. Bravo 2/7 did suffer high casualty rates – nearly all of us have purple hearts – but relatively few lost their lives. This was because we had outstanding leadership, and we confidently entrusted each other with our honor and our lives.
